GDC Server used for Sinbad screening

The Hollywood blockbuster “Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas” was screened using GDC’s DSR™ Digital Film Server at AMC Santa Monica, USA. The movie, released on July 2 2003, is MPEG2 4:2:2 encoded using our DSR™ Digital Film Agile Encoder.

Indian and French moviemakers embrace GDC Technology

GDC Technology digitally released India's large budget movie "The Hero" on DSR™ Servers at E-cinema (electronic cinema) theatres in and around Mumbai.

At the same time, GDC Technology was selected to encode and screen French movie "Belphegor: Phantom of the Louvre" in China. This is China's first digital foreign movie to be released in digital cinema theatres only.

Partners GDC and Adlab clinch mega deal in India

The partnership of GDC Technology and Adlabs Film Limited, the largest film processing laboratory in India, won a multimillion dollar deal to retrofit cinemas in India will be retrofitted and convert 35mm prints of Indian-made films into digital format for electronic distribution.

GDC Technology launched the new DSR™ Z server at ShoWest in Las Vegas and demonstrated our full range of DSR™ solutions. Dr. Chong also presented the software technology used in the 2K ready DSR™ products at the ‘Digital Cinema - Today and Tomorrow’ seminar.

GDC Technology’s DSR™ encoder and servers unveiled in Hollywood

GDC Technology's DSR™ encoder and servers were used in Texas Instruments' 2K prototype demonstrations at Entertainment Technology Center's Digital Cinema Lab in Hollywood. This demonstration marked an important milestone in digital cinema as previous digital cinema exhibitions had been limited to HDTV resolution.

GDC server partners with DLP Cinema™ projector

In introducing our new 2K resolution DSR™ Digital Film Agile Encoder and DSR™ Servers, GDC Technology became the world's first digital server company to provide equipment that are able to interface with Texas Instruments' 2K prototype DLP Cinema™ projector.

Warner Brothers entrusts GDC Technology with Harry Potter

GDC Technology got the nod of approval from Warner Brothers to encode the Hollywood blockbuster “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” for screening in China. Our DSR™ Digital Film Agile Encoder was used to encode Warner Brothers’ uncompressed D5 content in MPEG2 4:2:2 format with uncompressed PCM audio within 24 hours This marked the first commercial release of a Hollywood blockbuster with uncompressed digital audio.
